Our
super fast Zodiacs whisk you to the center of the whale watching
action. These vessels were modeled after fast-response Coast Guard
rescue vessels. These zodiac style vessels combine speed with
extraordinary stability to cruise at 25-35 knots. They give an
intense hands-on experience of the sea and the marine environment.
The Coast Guard for safety equipment annually inspects your Safety
and Comfort Each vessel. The full-length Mustang cruiser suits we
supply are government-approved flotation suits.
In addition to the vessel operator, each of our boats carries a
University-educated naturalist. Our naturalists are there to
answer your questions and provide wildlife and natural history
interpretation. We are the only company in Victoria offering this
level of service on a vessel carrying 5-12 passengers-most have a
single operator who doubles as a guide. This extra crewmember
provides a level of safety we refuse to operate without. The
naturalist can attend to your needs while the vessel operator's
full attention is given to running the boat.

This
garden has an international reputation for its year round display
of flowering beauties. When you hear the story of the origin of
these incredible gardens, you will see that the owners, Robert and
Jennie Butchart, were innovators in recycling. Mr. Butchart's
business was originally concrete. As the area surrounding his
factory became depleted of limestone, his wife felt that, with
adequate topsoil, she might be able to grow something. The gardens
reflect their extensive travels as well as their hobbies. Themed
areas of Japanese species, Italian selections, specimens in the
Rose Gardens, as well as their collections from all over the
world, are bountiful here.
Keep in mind, as you travel through the acres of flowers, that
this all started very early in the 1900's. It is a remarkable
attraction and will make you feel what it's like to have a green
thumb. |
